Traffic congestion mechanism on lognitudinal slopes and management strategies

Slopes is a typical bottleneck on freeways. This project aims to explore the interaction between the slope and the driver behaviour, as well as the consequence on the traffic flow dynamics. Based on the analylsis, control strategies are expected to be proposed to improve the uphill bottleneck capacity.
